Sightings from the Deep
A downloadable game
Sightings from the Deep is an "On-Rails Photography game", inspired heavily by games such as Pokémon Snap, but set in a dying, Bloodborne-esque, horror setting.
The gameplay consists of going through a set track without being able to stop, and during that path you try to take pictures of the monsters around you, making sure they're well adjusted within the frame, to get a good scoring picture.
Not only that, but monsters exhibit various behaviours and emotions, and you must attempt to capture all of them, both by finding them hidden in the track, or by interacting with the monsters using items that you unlock throughout the story.
The premise of the story, is that you live in a world dominated by monsters, who have been driving out humankind for years. Hunting parties were formed, in an attempt to cull the monster population, but it's becoming clear that the humans are losing this war. You play as one such hunter, that one day, during a hunting expedition, finds an unusual monster, with humanlike mannerisms, very different from the usual monsters. Not being able to kill it, you rescue the creature, and bring them to your abandoned base. The creature then proposes a pact to you. If you show her strong emotions from monsters of this world, she can be rid of the monster infestation for you.

Can't wait for the full game!
Although I was absolutely bamboozled that every options involving the menu has a heavy animation running in the background or something that causes me to lag hard even though the game itself is not lagging O-O
Hello, may I have an estimation of how long the game is? Thanks!!!
This demo features the first part of a level, which can be fully completed in around 10 minutes
The full game is intended to have somewhere around 8 of these, so something like a two hour/three hour experience. Will probably take a while to come out, however!
Ooooooo okay!!!
It's pretty cool so far and I enjoyed the art styles, I liked the rail type gameplay.
I'm looking forwards to the elaboration of the setting and story, but I do want to momentarily suggest a bit of elaboration on the characters (they're seem interesting, so I'm intrigued).
The lack of a reverse may lead to some frustration if a player missed something, and there's an additional issue with all menus being laggy regardless of graphics settings.
But, overall, pretty cool and looking forward to it.
